Regular Village Activities

These are activities that happen regularly in the village please contact us if you have a regular activity you wish to be listed...
VILLAGE HALL	Monthly Whist Drives are held on the dates shown, in the Village Hall, starting at 7.30, entrance £1.50. To include prizes and draw prizes. March 28th August 22nd April 25th September 26th May 30th October 31st June 27th November 28th July 18th December 19th
	To coincide with the Annual Footpath Walks organised by the Parish Council, there are three Cream Tea Afternoons booked for: Sunday 15th June Sunday 13th July Sunday 10th August All run from 2 pm until 4.30 pm and cost £3.50. There is no need to have gone on the walks prior to tucking in - ALL ARE WELCOME - ADULTS AND CHILDREN.
MOTHER'S UNION	Held on the second Monday of the month in various venues, starting at 2 pm. All are welcome to attend these meetings and there is no pressure to become a member of MU. April 14th Talk by John Doble on "Everest" May 12th A "Question and Answer" afternoon. What do really want to know about MU? June 17th A trip to Matford Centre, Exeter,by coach to attend the regional Roadshow. Tickets are available at £6 each should you be interested in coming along. CHURCH COFFEE MORNINGS	These are held once a month on the third Thursday at various homes around the Village. They start at 10.30 and finish around 12 noon. They are held to raise funds to help the Church, St John the Baptist, keep functioning. Do please come along as they are good fun, with plenty of chat, coffee, biscuits, cakes, a bring and buy and an extensive raffle. PRAYER MEETINGS	A group has been meeting to pray together since last November and they would love to welcome more people to join them. They meet on the second and fourth Tuesday in the month from 3 pm to 4 pm at 47 The Brendons. There is no need to commit to coming every time, just as when and when.
